Geek Speak

Choosing a printer.

Based upon much experience, I have the following opinions:

1. Ink-jet printers are only for small volume use. Reasons follow.
1.1 The ink is absurdly expensive for large volume use.
1.2 They are prone to clogging and sensitive to dust and other contamination.
1.3 They are very slow, even the fastest of them.

2. For large volume use, a color laser printer is far superior.
2.1 They are actually CHEAPER to use when ink cost is included (for large volumes).
2.2 They are usually relatively trouble-free (compated to ink-jets)
2.3 They are workhorses and can do large volumes quickly.
