Didn't you see CNN last night with the doctor debating one of his patients who is suing him for telling her she was "obese"?
It was fun to watch. I agreed with the doctor. People have LOUSY eating habits, they don't exercise and then they fall ill to a host of diseases. I can't blame doctors for coming out and telling them like it is at times.
Doctors are getting tired of ignoring their patient's health when they continue to smoke, eat and sit around and then expect them to "help" them. This one woman says she doesn't like to going to her doctor because of the fact she IS obese. Barring a thyroid problem, most people are aware of the guidelines in all newspapers and magazines about the health benefits of regular exercise, portion size and fruits and vegetables. A lot of people eat to insulate themselves against the world, and because they can't control their thoughts or carb cravings. Depression can be handled nutritionally with an amino acid complex and oftentimes fatigue can be managed nutritionally as well. More people need to take responsibility for their health.
I would agree the "fat" woman in the story above was looking for attention . Here in the outback of Florida, we see a lot of fat white girls having babies by illiterate little mexicans. This is NOT be racist, it is just an observation.
Never call a fat girl "obese"
