Katrina -- may wipe out NASA Michoud
I'd forgotten that the Michoud center, where they make the External Tanks, is across Lake Ponchartrain from New Orleans. I.e., it's about to take a direct hit from a CAT 5. Current projections put the storm surge 5 to 10 feet over the top of Michoud's levees, not to mention wind damage.
This may be the final straw, folks. Nick may well be collecting on whatever it was he said he'd bet on being able to count the remaining shuttle flights on one hand.
