Personal Solar Telescope (830 MB)
Last sunday, I tried my newly acquired PST from Coronado, mounted parallel to the ETX90. I saw filaments and a flare (like a spiral iron in fusion even through the H-Alpha filter). On a normal solar filter, the Sun is just white.
This afternoon, I replaced the 12mm eyepiece with a 40 mm Plössl on which I could adapat my Sony digital DSC-V1 and I finally could produce the first picture ! 1/13th of a second, 100 ASA.
It's an amazing thing, the Sun!! It changes all the time even when we don't see it on its surface.
