Mars Sample Return - A Black Hole for NASA resources

This mission just keeps getting pushed back and costing more. Enough already! It makes more sense to me to send MSL and many more beefed up MERs to Mars and observe MANY samples in situ, instead spending billions to bring a couple rocks all the way back to Earth.
