We still have long gasoline lines. The lines are caused by folks like the wife of a buddy of mine who queued for over 2 hours day before yesterday to top off a tank that was 3/4 full.

In those lines tempers are short and line breaking is frowned on. My sister was in a line that was broken by a rather ratty looking woman in her 20s. A woman about 50ish confronted her and after a heated argument the older woman gave up and started walking back to her car. The younger woman leaped on her back and started tearing her hair out. The older woman flipped her over her shoulder and proceeded to beat her sensless.

Cops grabbed the older woman and clapped her in irons until the crowd intervened and explained what happened. They released her and put the younger woman in her car and sent her on her way.

Oh the humanity....
