"Meet the Press"

Rehnquist's death was the lead item, with a brief discussion of the changed confirmation situation. Bush could choose either to elevate an Associate Justice, or bring one in from outside. They mentioned that 11 of the 16 Chiefs came from outside, so elevation is the exception.

Also, O'Connor is still at work--her resignation only takes effect when her replacement is installed. They didn't mention this, but it occurred to me just now: Bush might change tracks and appoint a new Chief first, perhaps even Roberts, and hold O'Connor to her word to stay on until he finds a replacement Associate.

After that, it was on to Katrina, featuring an interview with Chertoff, who basically avoided all questions, except to blame everything on the state and local governments.

I believe that Rehnquist passed away about 8PM EST last night, so it's not surprising that most shows weren't able to reshuffle their lineups on such short notice.
