She's been so excited about it. Yesterday was a 2 hour orientation with Mom, today's the real deal. We were talking last night and she promised me she would try to remember everything that happened, so she could tell me about it when I get home. This morning she was up at 6:15, unusual for her, as I was getting ready to go, she repeated her promise to me.
Today's not as bad as last year's first day at Pre-school. Maybe I'm getting used to her growing up.
She has been a bit concerned about the School Bus. She's watched it pick up kids in front of our house ever since she was a toddler. She's wanted to ride that thing for 5 years now and today was the first day. She was nervous about a couple of things though. No seat belts. She asked her mom to drive behind the first day, to make sure she was safe. The second thing is the transfer. For whatever reason the school district makes all kindergartners transfer to a different bus before heading to the Kinder Center. None of the other kids have to, just kindergartners. That's a bunch of crap, but its been that way for years. So my wife was a bit nervous about the transfer, so happily agreed to follow the bus. I wonder how many minivans followed the bus this morning?
