We've had maybe only one or two "sunsets" here over the past two weeks what with Hurricane Katrina and it's outer bands over us most all of that time. And now our skies are marred by this new tropical storm Ophelia which has been making waves and bringing in the cloud bands since Monday. And rain. And winds.

Any how, there was at least 24 hours of tropical calm yesterday with a beautifully colored sky last night at sunset, and I wanted to share it with you. These were taken with my digital ELPH around 8pm. One is the view from my backyard with the moss hanging in the middle of the picture. The other was taken on top of a hill about 200' away. It shows a bit of the disturbance, but it is still beautiful.
