Given half a chance to keep themselves out of a typical Democratic vote warehouse (kept minimally alive by social programs and noticed only at election time), a lot of these people might get good jobs and get their kids into better schools. Some already have.

Worst possible outcome for the Democrats would be these people moving into the middle class, and finding themselves on the other end of the wealth-redistribution flow.
