You calculated earlier that the average daily income in Bangladesh is $1.75. Now you maintain that "sitting in a chair clicking a mouse for a dollar or so a day isn’t the worst thing in the world"? Really? That sounds like a rather giant leap backward economically to me. (And at "a dollar a day" you're exaggerating; the article reports workers make more like $120/year.)
What this topic illustrates is the power of the new global capitalism to maintain poverty by shifting work to wherever people are the most desperate and thereby avoid improving anybody's lot. It was only true in America that a rising tide would lift all boats when it was a relatively closed economy, and corporations had to deal with the workforce they had. Market forces in that environment required employers to frequently compete for workers and the fortunes of the middle class rose. But in the new environment, the market forces work the other way, toward the impoverishment of workers and the destruction of the middle class.
I'd subtitle that article "The Shape of Things to Come".
