Palestinian leadership are brought up in a perpetual quasi-military state in which "terror" is viewed as "defense" and "murder" is viewed as "retaliation".
It's like you are asking someone to find a Spartan General who was a pacifist. That's a sucker bet you're offering Raoul.
The whole region is steeped in the sort of ignorance which keeps the conflicts going. It's tragic.
As for the cartoon...it makes a political point.
Is it racist?
I don't think so. Palestinians have multi-ethnic roots.
Is it anti-Palestine?
Obviously.
Is it in questionable taste?
Certainly. I don't like exploiting some poor folk being transported in the trunk of a car for an easy laugh. The message would've been better served as a B&W opinion cartoon and as such, would've seemed less callous. MacNelly, were he still with us, could've done the same thing in a way that makes you see the point without the hate attached.
Was it photoshopped well?
Sort of. That black and white bumper sticker was not as well done as the rest.
Sucker bet.
