I'm not sure I agree with it though. The way I see it, we can move into the future basically from one of two positions: ignorance, or knowledge. When given a chance to drag ourselves closer toward the latter, we should pull with all our strength. IMHO, we'll gain more by going back to the moon than we would by sitting around wondering whether we *should* go back to the moon.

Apollo on steroids it may be, but it's not a repeat of Apollo for the simple reason that you can't cross the same river twice. It's going to be a different experience because it can't be the same.
