I don't agree with blanket banning of all firearms, but you have to draw the line somewhere. Those who say there's no obvious place to draw one, so there shouldn't be any at all, must be (in principle) OK with private ownership of Stinger and Tow missiles, .50 cal machine guns, artillery, or anything else that could be loosely described or defined as a firearm. That way lies madness, as we have seen in this country.

But this is America, and not everything is what it seems on the surface. There is most definitly a subtext at work here, one which most do not want to even think about...
