One way or another, this was a hell of a storm, that fell on an area whose evacuation plans, bought and paid for, were brought low by the powers that be.
I've got family in Lake Charles, Lafayette, Galveston, Houston, and several of the little, beautiful, eccentric hamlets down there. They've been drowned before, adn they're drowned now. And they'll recover, no matter whether they get help or not, because where they live, and have lived for 200 years, is who they are.
That's all they've been trained to want.
But is that all they deserve?
