Exploiting for a buck
So, duh, what do you think he took a picture of?
I know exactly what he took a picture of. A remote control drone craft presently called the Tier IV. That program is presently based at Wright Patterson. It's not the "Aurora" but the successor to the Tier III minus, which first flew successfully back in '96 and was a DARPA project.
Wright Patterson is charged with testing the durability of the Tier IV and so flying it into a thunderstorm iwas done to test it in real world bad weather conditions. There is no pilot so the risks are minimal. The test craft is equipped with markers so it is easy enough to spot. There are a number of these craft out at Wright Patterson right now undergoing flight evaluation.
Earthfiles is always bogus. They have to sensationalize run-of-the mill stuff and fleece those with a psychological need to believe in government conspiracies, alien based cattle mutilation and crop circles.
Sure, it's Howe's way to make a living. But that doesn't mean I have to hold my tongue about Earthfiles, Howe or Lindy's using Earthfiles as a regular source of "unusual" links.
