Video of the model EH-101 Marina helicopter. Love the sound of a turbine winding up before takeoff. WREN turbines use the exhaust gas to turn a secondary fan connected to a 90-degree gearbox. No high speed transmission, just like the full-scale birds. This allows the engine to run at constant, say, 120,000 rpm, while the gearbox is driven at only 14,000 rpm.

And I gotta say this Airwolf is awesome. With a 3-meter (10-feet) rotor diameter, its a big one! The twin-turbine powerplant, the body's high shine and rivets give it the look and feel of a serious piece of machinery! WOW !!!
