Then why doesn't the lack of accuracy on so many things exhibited by our current Administration continue to impress you?
Is it because the blogosphere continues to make excuses for it? Where is the famous ruthlessness when it comes to the reshuffled, backpedaled justifications rolled out by this Administration to excuse things it did and said, and continues to do and say, that were and are just plain wrong?
You said that the reason people are impressed by Paul Krugman is that he writes for the NYT. I showed you that there are other, more substantive reasons why people respect what he says. You blew it off by saying you're not impressed by his resume because bloggers say he's inaccurate. You nullified his achievements because the bloggers say that he has been wrong -- thank you, O Prophets of the Internet, to tell us that human beings are wrong sometimes (except the President) -- and thus continued to chalk up people's respect for his work to only one item on his vitae.
Only bloggers' opinions matter. They have the Internet! Well, let me tell you something. We have other examples of the market determining the free exchange of ideas: the tabloids are doing very well these days. Thank you for the example of bloggist editorial policy: perpetually self-referential, flying in ever more concentric circles until it flies up its own...
