To bring it back to what I was actually talking about, there were many liberals complaining that Bush did not come down to Louisiana immediately to show he cared about what was happening. Others complained that he didn't immediately fly back to Washington so he could use Washington phones to keep in touch with events instead of the Air Force One command center. Why? So he could show America he "cared."
