If you think I'm trying for a spherical harmonic solution to the (ideal) MHD equations with some freshman year physics, you take me for a crank. I'm trying to encourage LJK to be more than a spambot for far-out-physics

It's just a silly pedantic excersize that probably has little to do with the actual reality on the surface on a neutron star. Oh and uh, same for mine too.....

We can talk about it when it comes out in ApJ if you like....
