re: Your president was wrong, El Baradei and Blix were right

"And if your side accused Saddam for having WMD's, it was up to it to prove it."

The way I see it, Saddam had over 12 years to verify that he didn't have WMD and given that amount of time, he failed to do so.

"How low can conservative americans go in order to justify the war."

A better question is how many decades of war does it require for a lefty to accept that a war is occurring? I suppose sanctions are normal- for instance something you would impose if you don't like a ruler's choice of hair style? That Kurdish area operating as independent region is normal and with 90% of the country under a No Fly Zone as peaceful conditions.
How is possible for a Lefty to excuse Saddam for invading Kuwait? Why is that dictators are allowed to continue a war and not required to take steps to bring peace to the region? Why is it that if a ruler proves that he is ruthless enough that he "earns" the right to act as an asshole and bestow the divine right to rule over people?

But considering that Arafat got a Peace Prize, I have no objection to having El Baradei joining that distingished club. I wonder who you have to bribe to get either Saddam or Castro as the next winners.
