Of course the knock against him in 2008 would be that he "lacks the expereince for the national stage," or something to that effect.
But one could also say that he's uncorrupted, isn't hip deep in anyone's pocket and his hands aren't covered by political blood. Oh yeah, smart as a whip, too. Idealistic enough to dream, realistic enough to get the job done. Obama is THE shining star of American politics.
Put him in the White House in '08? Hell yes.
