re: scans

I assumed the Arabic version was a PDF of a transcription rather than a scan of the original, but nobody has said so one way or the other. I haven't seen anything about the original being handwritten or typed.

The original English version on my link was a Word document, which is why I transcribed it for those who don't have Word. It's now another PDF document which is an improvement.

Al Qaeda is declaring the letter is fake, so I guess that will settle it for some people.
