Rome, anyone?
I haven't seen any mention of the HBO series here.
I had forgotten about it and only recently started watching some of the episodes.
I have managed to catch all but the first three of the first season (7 @ 1 hour) and they will be replaying those next Sunday. There has been one episode of season 2 and it will resume 10/30.
I am hooked. It is excellent with grood writing and a fine cast. POV characters include all the historical figures and a couple of lower ranking soldiers in major fictional parts.
Not for the kiddies though.
