re: Today's lunar eclipse

Hi REB,

I was out observing with the telescope, but actually forgot about the eclipse. I was swearing under my breath about how the bright moon was messing up my viewing and looked toward the moon to see the earths shadow on the moon. I first thought it was clouds starting to roll in but then the shadow didn't move. That's when I realized there was an eclipse in progress.

So I turned the 12" SCT towards the moon and took this image with a 40 mm eyepiece and a Nikon CoolPix. I was hoping the shadow was going to cover some of Tyco, but it never made it that far.

The partial eclipse and others of the nights.
