According to Christ being a Christian is simple. You admit you are a sinner and you accept Christ as you savor. Christ loves all sinners- all humans, for we all sin.

Humans could not go through live without breaking one of the commandments in the old covenant. So God came down as Christ to bridge the gab between him and us humans. He gave us another way to get to heaven. If you accept Christ as your Savor he will grant you eternal life.

Does this mean Christians should say, “I can sin, but that is okay because I accept Christ.” No, it is not a license to go out and sin and get away with it. Christ also preached to love and help your neighbor. We could all learn from his teaching.

I am by no means an expert on this. I was raised a Christian but never understood it. I abandoned the church in college. I have been a born again Christian for almost 5 years now, and I am still learning, so no one take my word as 'Gospel'.
