If we have the potential to create other universes, then just imagine what a really advanced technological civilization can do - and maybe has.

And if we can create other universes, do we have a responsibility to those creations? After all, we will be their Creator Gods, in essence.

This of course brings up the possibility that our universe is the result of some lab experiment, which would certainly put the deists in the high seat.

When you think about how many people on this one little blue ball clamor every day for any kind of response or sign from what they perceive to be our creator, just imagine how any future intelligent life that could result from our experiment may feel about their existence. Of course this assumes they will think like us in some way, which may not be the case. Of course 2, I have trouble imagining any being with high intelligence not wondering about its origins.

Escape of black holes from the brane

TeV-scale gravity theories allow the possibility of producing small black holes at energies that soon will be explored at the LHC or at the Auger observatory. One of the expected signatures is the detection of Hawking radiation, that might eventually terminate if the black hole, once perturbed, leaves the brane. Here, we study how the `black hole plus brane' system evolves once the black hole is given an initial velocity, that mimics, for instance, the recoil due to the emission of a graviton. The results of our dynamical analysis show that the brane bends around the black hole, suggesting that the black hole eventually escapes into the extra dimensions once two portions of the brane come in contact and reconnect. This gives a dynamical mechanism for the creation of baby branes.
