By far and away the best MER information site in the solar system!

The word seems to be that Oppy won't spend much time at Erebus, and will certainly not go inside the crater as it's probably a giant sand trap. My guess is we'll be at Victoria by Sol 700 (today is Sol 619 for Oppy, 640 for Spirit). Now that will be a sight!

Spirit meanwhile is now descending Husband Hill, it's next target is Home Plate! I'm sure there will be many stops along the way though. Probably 2-3 months before we get there.

We should be seeing both these new sites right around the same time! What a spectacular mission!
