I think at times they are way too UNI-focus. And we miss out on other happenings. However, their coverage on Hurricane Wilma was IMMENSELY helpful to all the fear-stricken Florida residents who had to brace themselves for this Hurricane Wilma.
They did an EXCELLENT job. I still wonder about the wisdom of sending Jim Cantore and Anderson Cooper into danger zones, holding onto railings and dodging falling debris while giving us "live coverage".
You couldn't get me to stay in Ground Zero for a few thousand bucks (albeit I'm sure CNN gives them freekin unreal bonuses!). And they can fly them in and out, and their homes aren't at risk. Maybe it's different if you don't have anything invested in the place....sorta like a thrill seeking storm chaser.
As for politics, hold on Tom......you might just take a lickin' here if your Superstars fall down and get indicted.........
And I mean, we'll REALLY riub it in, with glee!
