Okay, using 2000 here.
My problem is with the drawing order of objects in paper space. Normally, it's not a problem, changing drawing order is a normal part of drawing. But I've been playing with viewports that are not in plan view to the current UCS and when I do that, the viewport is always above the objects in paper space. So I cannot annotate in paper space on top of a viewport. Tried the usual drawing order commands and tried changing elevations of objects in paperspace. NADA. It's happened before on other drawing files. Tried creating a new viewport. Tried lines, poly lines, blocks, arcs, different layers..... Viewport is always on top.
Any suggestions from the CAD experts?
This project involves the 3D mapping of a small gold mine near here and I'd like to print some different views of the workings - with annotations in paper space. I don't like to have plotting frames in model space unless I have to, especially one on an inclined plane. I want to be able to print various views quickly.
Also, does anyone know where to get a 3D human figure in AutoCad as shareware?
I don't need a whole mess of different figures, just a figure of someone who looks crazy enough to go a few hundred feet down into a hole in the ground.
Yet another AutoCAD question...
