How come Novak gets a pass? The law passed after the publication of "Inside the Company" didn't say anything about an exception from liability for the press. Freedom of the Press has never before included a license to break the law.

The reasoning behind the law was the outing of a covert agent destroys the entire network of contacts that agent had made as well as the very lives of every operative involved with the outed agent. And, oh yes, that agent and family is immediately put at risk.

So, how come there is no indictment of Novak? How come he hasn't been fired, or sanctioned by the CIA?
