re: Were the shuttle and ISS mistakes?

I have the same feeling about the 'return to the moon' agenda: What is the point? It bothers me when millions of Canadian tax dollars are spent on a meteorological device to piggyback an American spacecraft to Mars, when I think the 'on to Mars' agenda is absolutely pointless. It is a barren wasteland, differing from the Moon only in the color of the dirt that stretches to the horizon.
