There are several high profile "journalists" on TV who have similar backgrounds to Mathews. Can you name a single big name journalist who has anything remotely similar from a Republican background?
I've heard enough of that blowhard Mathews to not bother tuning him in, just the same as I tune out Hannedy & Colms, Tim Russert, George Stephonopolis (sp), and especially Bill O'Rielly*. None of them are worth the time. Political pundits are a silly breed.
To give you an idea just how silly the political pundits are, they were describing last week as "the worst in Bush's administration" due to the Miers withdrawl, the Liddy indictment, and a couple other things. Really, was that worse than the week of the 9/11 attacks? Face it, they're such political whores that they can't see anything except through their Beltway filter.
*I'd just as soon listen to 24 hours of John Kerry speeches as 24 minutes of Bill O'Rielly. His voice and attitude is like fingers on a chalkboard to me.
