White House defends decisions that led to war (again)
Democrats, too, saw Saddam as a threat, presidential spokesman says
Since half of America, and all the ROW, know that Bush had to lie his tail off to get the country into war, that's how history will be written. A problem they have with "the Dems were just as bad" is that at the time of the war the Rs were in control of the intelligence machinery, and one had to give them the benefit of the doubt.
In hindsight the regime lied, and the responsibility is theirs. They didn't deserve the benefit of the doubt.
Wonder if Bush ever apologized to the UN for claiming the WMDs were there and the UN was too inept to dig 'em out?
