I've read all the Clarke books and have his sci-fi paperbacks from their original published era and his classic "The Exploration of Space".

Read most of the Sagan books & own "Demon Haunted World", (outstanding) "Dragons of Eden", "Cosmos" et. al.

Own the fine Timothy Ferris books, "The Mind's Eye", "Coming of Age in the Milky Way", the excellent Andrew Chaikin book A Man on the Moon, a must for anyone interested in Apollo.

Of special note is an original Stephen Dole 1962, "Habitable Planets For Man", long out of print but still an invaluable scientific resource. Data on main sequence stars, planetary parameters, most of which have stood the sands of time remarkable well though I'd LOVE to see a 21st Century update of that classic. maybe just after Kepler data is in and analyzed circa 2012.

And many others...
