Competition is a good thing
Not saying cooperation is all bad, but if there was not a competitive instinct in the human animal we would not have advanced anywhere near where we are. We may have never even survived as a species, so don't lament the our competitive nature.
Look what cooperation has done for NASA with the ISS and look at what competition did for us with Apollo. 'Nuff said!
