Cheney urges exception to torture ban for CIA

WASHINGTON - "Vice President Dick Cheney made an unusual personal appeal to Republican senators this week to allow CIA exemptions to a proposed ban on the torture of terror suspects in U.S. custody, according to participants in a closed-door session."

Quite clearly torture is an instrument of policy for this regime, and just as clearly Abu Ghaib and the rest were not isolated instances of folks being out of control and acting on their own.

Do ya think that "our" conservatives who claimed otherwise will admit they were wrong? Apologize for having been so utterly wrong, and vocal about it?

Nope. They won't.

Ya gotta wonder what this America stands for. They don't like the Iraqi people, they were starving 'em for years and years. Saddam had enough to eat.

Cruel folks, aren't they. No better than the bad guys.
