Well, its been 3 months since Marsis was commissioned on Mars Express and nary a word. Does anyone have any sort of info on the radar sounding project? Typically the Europeans communicate results very slowly, but is there any timetable for when we might see some reults/papers? Does anyone know of anything exciting brewing with instrument results? Do the orbital mechanics require many more months of observations before they have enough data to start to form conclusions? How is it operating and how good does the preliminary subsurface data look? What are current expectations for how effective the instrument will be, give its track record over the last 3 months? Is there anyone out there that has info above and beyond the paltry press releases of ESA? Please help!
