When did HOME OWNERSHIP become a LIABILITY?

A follow up on a subject that is sticking in my craw, one where the prices on HOME HEATING, now TAXES and Insurances and upkeep on our 35 yr old colonial have skyrocketed now that the bills are coming in, Lucky it is warm here in the NE but we fear we're gonna get pounded after NEW YEARS with a major NE snow. Prices have fallen for gas and such, so do you think Home Heating will follow? NAW!!!!!!!! I tell you, we're ready to pack it in, and with two teens in the house along with seniors, I know it's gonna be tough in the coming months. So, I ask you out there in cyberspace, have any of your insurances spiked along with operating costs due to this HURRICANE SEASON? And another thing, along with food, how the H@###LL does a HOME DEPOT get away with over 16 bucks for a 4 by 8 sheet of plywood when 3 months ago it sold for less than 10 bucks?
HUH ? HUH? You talk about price gouging, take a good look at prices in home centers, WOW, they went THRU THE ROOF!!!!!
Now we can't do the kitchen remodel and that's on hold, tooo.
Hope better days are coming and the ECONOMY is supposed to be good? WHERE!!!!! Sorry for the rant.............
