I am afraid I can’t help you with the C#. I know a little C+. I am mainly VB (I have forgotten my COBOL, FORTRAN and Pascal). I have learned that Web Forms and Windows Forms are quite different from each other. For one thing, with a web form you need to know HTML and a little Java, which I know a little of both.

This damn datagrid is frustrating. I can do what I want on a Windows form, but on this Web Form they make it so difficult.

I understand your frustration with those books. I have a stack of books that have, on rare occasions, been of some help, but for the most part they tell me anything knew. None of these authors know how to do any of the more complex things that I need to know. So I am getting pretty good at rigging things up to work on my web pages.
