Well, it was a response to someone from Belgium, but not mine.
The light pollution issue is a local issue and can only be dealt with locally.
In Flanders, there are laws forbidding the use of sky tracers.
Friends from the french speaking side asked me to send them info about those laws.
What we also do, is find spared areas where the light pollution hasn't deteriorated the sky yet. And other clubs learn about preserved areas used by the first ones.
Also, my own street got new lamps and these lamps are only aimed downwards, which is better.
