Jordanians Rally to Denounce Al-Zarqawi

AMMAN, Jordan (AP) -- Hundreds of angry Jordanians rallied Thursday outside one of three U.S.-based hotels attacked by suicide bombers, shouting, "Burn in hell, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi!" after the terrorist's group claimed responsibility for the blasts that killed at least 56 people.

Of course, this bombing in Jordan is good reason why our troops simply cannot abandon Iraq - its why we are stuck there. Were we to depart without leaving a stable Iraq behind, sectarian violence would infect all of the middle east. Going to war in Iraq was a terrifically bad idea and it remains to be seen if we can subdue the chaos we've sparked. But we can't just leave. We owe it to the Iraqis - and now the Jordanians to succeed. I only wish we have a more competent President charged with pulling this off.
By the way, the Bush death count is now 2,059.
