Recruitment is up for the summer, but it remains to be seen if year-end goals for the Army are met. Active-duty retention rate is high and will meet year-end goals.

Casualties being up in a time of war has absolutely nothing to do with the strength of the military

Please describe a military "real crisis" that would not involve putting large amounts of troops into a foreign country. An invasion from Canada?
