Response to question comes as exception is sought for CIA
So here I am, with a man who should know saying the US DOES torture people, thousands of people claiming to have been tortured, pictures of people being tortured, AI and HRW saying people have been tortured, people saying they have tortured people,
the Vice President of the United States trying to keep Congress from putting limits on torturing people,
and the President of the United States of America saying that the US DOESN'T torture people.
My goodness. He wouldn't lie, would he?
(The neocon answer was that the US had stopped for the duration of the speech. But Cheney keeps on lobbying for a free hand. Now would he do that if the US had stopped?)
Current Events » in reply to Former CIA Director: Torture is condoned and even approved by the Bush government
But but but - Bush: ‘We do not torture’ terror suspects. Cognitive dissonance!!!!
