I already detailed what a tiny fraction of the programs for the poor are being trimmed in this bill, and much of it is simply moving things from one category to another. Good riddance to farm subsidies. I only wish both parties had been more receptive to cutting some other pork that needed cutting a lot worse.
But as you say, it's a long way to the President's desk. You might want to follow what's going on with the tax legislation, too.
