I personally don't know much about Griffin, so I place great weight on the positive opinion that you and Jeff express.
But one thing really bugs me: Griffin and NASA's budget, e.g. "emphasizing that NASA does not need new money to make it happen." That reminds me all too much of O'Keefe caving in to similar pressure and foisting the "Faster, Better, Cheaper" fantasy on NASA. It's worrisome that Griffin too seems to be promising to deliver whatever the President and Congress ask for at whatever price they'll condescend to pay. Setting a price based on the customer's desires rather than the actual cost is inevitably a formula for disaster. Things cost what they cost, and that fact can't be wished away any more than can gravity.
I'd be pleased as punch if you'd tell me why I'm all wet and there's really not a thing to worry about. Really, I would.
