OK, but the origin of the swiss flag is religious. If you reversed the Isreali flag's colors does that mean the symbol is no longer of religious origin?
This whole thing is pretty silly. The current symbols are easily recognizeable which is what's most improtant when distinguishing Aid workers from soldiers during time of war. I have no problem with the diamond, personally I'd prefer a Red Rhombus :), as long as it is phased in to gain recognition alongside the cross and crescent. then they can phase out the religious symbols if they wish.
