Yet an allowed combination
Individuality fosters inconsistency. The internal contradictions of a "ranting liberal homophobe" pale next to the paradox of the technically-liberal environmental movement's essentially conservative outlook. Or the resolve of Conservatives to make radical changes (to restore things to the way they once were?). Or the militancy and hatred of conservative Christians marching under the banner of the Prince of Peace.
That's just how we are, man.
