I was told that among the political and legal reasons why
they didn't bother to put any kind of relevant message record
on the probe that weight was also a critical factor. But apparently
not enough to treat NH like a cheap time capsule.
How very disappointing indeed. Anyone care to start a group to
ensure that all future interstellar probes have real information
about the human species and our world for anyone who
encounters those vessels?
