Those images are from HIRISE and MARCI on MRO, both US instruments (ASU and MSSS respectively) on a US spacecraft :)
The colour is probably down to the fact HIRISE images with nIR and thus you get the whole real-colour/false-colour/what-the-hell-colour-is-that type issues we're familiar with with MER.
